Fernando Perlatto

Adjunct Professor of Contemporary History, Department of History,Federal University of Juiz de Fora UFJF

Fernando Perlatto holds a degree in History from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF), a Master’s degree in Sociology from the University of Rio de Janeiro (IUPERJ) and a PhD in Sociology from the Institute of Social and Political Studies (IESP-UERJ). He is currently Adjunct Professor of Contemporary History at the Department of History of the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF), Professor of the Postgraduate Program in History of this institution and Professor of the Professional Postgraduate Program in Public Education Management and Evaluation (PPGP-CAED). He is a Researcher and Coordinator of the Laboratory of Political and Social History (LAHPS), linked to UFJF, and Researcher of the Center for Studies in Law and Society (CEDES / PUC-Rio). He was a Visiting Scholar at the Institute for Public Knowledge, associated with New York University (2012), Professor of the Social Sciences Department of the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (2010-2012), Professor of the Department of Social Sciences of the State University of Minas Gerais (2014) and Director of the UFJF Publishing House (2015-2016). He is a member of three research groups recognized by the CNPQ: "Citizenship, Labor and Exclusion" (headquartered at UFJF), "Corporatism, authoritarianism and institutional order in contemporary Brazil" (headquartered at CPDOC-FGV) and "Democracy, Institutions and Social Participation "(Headquartered at UEMG). He is Coordinator of the Working Group on Political History of ANPUH-MG. It integrates three international research networks: "Lusophone Connections: dictatorships and democracies in Portuguese", "Rights, History and Memory" and "NETCOR – Analysis of corporatism and organization of interests.
